What your daily ACT questions cover
The ACT rewards steady fundamentals. Daily retrieval keeps its grammar rules and math methods warm right up to test day.
English
Grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure (the conventions the ACT tests on every form).
Math
Algebra through geometry and functions, four choices per question, method explained every time.
What is the ACT?
The ACT is a college-admissions test accepted by every U.S. college and university, and it's chosen by millions of students each year as an alternative or complement to the SAT. Its distinguishing feature is a dedicated Science section that rewards data interpretation over memorized facts.
Students can take the ACT multiple times (typically in junior spring and senior fall), and many colleges superscore, combining the best section results across dates. An optional Writing (essay) section is offered for programs that require it.
How the ACT is timed and scored
The ACT is a fast-paced test of about 2 hours and 55 minutes across four multiple-choice sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science. Time pressure is real: success often comes down to pacing as much as knowledge, which makes regular timed practice valuable.
Each section is scored from 1 to 36, and your composite is the average of the four, also on a 1–36 scale. As with the SAT, there is no penalty for guessing, so leave no question blank.
The best way to study for the ACT
The ACT's speed rewards fluency, the kind that comes from frequent, distributed practice rather than occasional cramming. Daily practice trains you to recognize question types instantly, which is exactly where ACT time is won or lost.
A question a day by text builds that fluency a little at a time, in a mix you set at signup. Every answer comes with a worked explanation, so you're learning the method, not just checking a box.
