Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of TextPrep, a daily test-prep text-message service operated by Natick Media LLC dba TextPrep at TextPrep.org. By signing up, opting in, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

TextPrep sends one practice question per day for the standardized test you select (such as SAT, PSAT, ACT, or GRE), along with a worked explanation after you answer. You manage your preferences and history through a passwordless account — we sign you in with a one-time code sent by text. Features and question content may change over time.

2. Eligibility & parental consent

TextPrep is intended for test-takers and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms and consents to your enrollment and to receiving text messages. A parent or guardian may manage or cancel the enrollment at any time by replying STOP or contacting us.

3. Text-message program

By opting in you agree to receive recurring automated test-prep messages (up to 4 messages per day — your daily question, feedback when you reply, and occasional service messages). Message and data rates may apply and message frequency may vary. Supported carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Support Instructions: You can contact us at hello@textprep.org or reply HELP at any time for assistance. Opt-Out Instructions: To stop receiving messages, reply STOP. After texting STOP, you will receive one final confirmation text confirming your opt-out. No further messages will be sent unless you opt back in.

4. Pricing & payment

TextPrep is a one-time payment for a single test enrollment that runs until your test date. It is not a subscription and does not auto-renew. The price depends on how far away your test is and is shown to you before you pay. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Prices may change, but the price you were shown at checkout applies to that purchase.

5. Payment and refunds

Your payment is a one-time charge for TextPrep’s daily practice messages through the test date you select. TextPrep is not a subscription and does not automatically renew. Because your access begins right away, payments are generally non-refundable. Replying STOP stops the daily messages, but it does not entitle you to a refund of the remaining days in your prep window. If you were charged in error, ran into a problem with the service, or have another concern, contact us and we’ll work to make it right, which may include a refund at our discretion. This does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

  • Provide accurate information and use a mobile number you are authorized to use.
  • Don’t resell, redistribute, scrape, or republish our questions or explanations.
  • Don’t misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • The service is for personal study only.

7. No score guarantee

TextPrep is built on established learning research, but we do not guarantee any particular score, score increase, or test outcome. Results depend on many factors outside our control. Our content is for practice and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any testing organization.

8. Intellectual property & trademarks

All TextPrep content, including original practice questions and explanations, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. SAT and PSAT/NMSQT are trademarks of the College Board; ACT is a trademark of ACT, Inc.; GRE is a trademark of Educational Testing Service (ETS). TextPrep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these organizations. These names are used only to identify the test you are preparing for. All our questions are original and are not reproduced from any official test.

9. Referrals & promotions

We may offer a referral program or occasional promotions. Any rewards, contests, or drawings are subject to additional rules we provide at the time, may be changed or withdrawn, and where a sweepstakes or drawing is offered it will be governed by separate official rules and is void where prohibited.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any message will be delivered.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TextPrep and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the enrollment giving rise to the claim.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

15. Suspension & blocking

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the messaging system, including automated abuse, excessive spam, harassment, or attempts to interfere with the service.
